The SHUFFLER® x Men’s Fitness & Women’s Fitness

Throughout September, we teamed up with Men’s Fitness and Women’s Fitness to give six people the chance to win their own SHUFFLER® — with three available through each magazine.

The competition has now officially closed, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who entered.

For Trainor Jim, the partnership was about much more than a giveaway. It was an opportunity to put accessible movement in front of a wider audience and start an important conversation about what being active can look like when traditional forms of exercise aren’t an option.

Movement doesn’t look the same for everyone

When we talk about keeping active, the images that often come to mind are walking, running, going to the gym or joining an exercise class.

But that isn’t the reality for everyone.

Age-related changes, reduced mobility, frailty, disability, arthritis, illness, injury or recovery can all make standing exercise and other conventional forms of activity more difficult.

That doesn’t make movement any less important.

It makes finding accessible ways to move even more important.

The SHUFFLER® was created to help lower that barrier. It is a portable, seated movement device that allows people to keep their lower limbs moving while sitting in a chair — whether at home, at work, in a care setting or as part of a community movement programme.

Why seated movement matters

Maintaining movement as we age is about far more than fitness.

Mobility is closely connected with confidence, participation and the ability to continue doing the everyday things that help us remain independent.

For someone living with reduced mobility, even small opportunities to introduce more movement into the day can matter. The goal doesn’t always need to be a workout or a step count. Sometimes it starts with simply making movement possible.

That is a big part of the thinking behind the SHUFFLER®: meeting people where they are, rather than expecting everyone to access movement in the same way.

Taking accessible movement to a wider audience

The competition launched on 1 September 2026, with three SHUFFLERs® available through Men’s Fitness and three through Women’s Fitness, giving six people in total the opportunity to experience seated movement for themselves. The promotion ran throughout September and closed on 30 September 2026.

We are blown away by the response! It’s been brilliant to see so many people engaging with the SHUFFLER® and, more importantly, with the idea that movement can and should be accessible to everyone.

What happens next?

The competition may have closed, but our work to make movement more accessible continues.

Across care, community, healthcare and home settings, Trainor Jim continues to explore how simple, accessible movement can support people to maintain mobility, build confidence and stay independent for longer.

We’re delighted that more SHUFFLERs® will now be heading out into the world — and we’re looking forward to welcoming the winners to the SHUFFLER community.

A huge thank you to Men’s Fitness, Women’s Fitness and everyone who entered.
