FAQ'S

What is the Trainor Jim Shuffler?

The SHUFFLER® is a seated exercise
device
developed for people with limited mobility, including older
adults, wheelchair users, and individuals in care settings. It enables safe,
gentle movement to support circulation and physical activity from a chair.

Is the Shuffler clinically tested?

The Shuffler has been used in user studies conducted by
healthcare professionals and with NHS-aligned trials. It is not
classified as a medical device
and does not require MHRA registration.
Testimonials include support from surgeons, physiotherapists, and
occupational therapists.

How often should I use the SHUFFLER®?

We recommend up to three 10-minute sessions per day, but it’s important to start slowly.

The SHUFFLER® engages muscles that aren’t always used regularly, so doing too much too soon can lead to soreness. Begin with shorter sessions and gradually build up over time as your strength and comfort improve.

Listen to your body, move at your own pace, and allow rest between sessions. If discomfort persists, reduce usage and seek advice from a healthcare professional.

My legs feel sore after using the SHUFFLER®. Is this normal?

Mild soreness can happen, especially when you first start using the SHUFFLER®. It works muscles that may not have been used regularly for some time.

We recommend starting slowly and gently, using the SHUFFLER® for short periods and gradually increasing the time as your body adapts.

If discomfort continues, stop using the SHUFFLER® and allow time for rest. If the problem persists or you have any concerns, please contact a healthcare professional before continuing.

How much space does it need?

The Shuffler is compact and designed to fit in front of a
standard chair. It can be used in care home bedrooms, lounges, or private
living spaces — no gym or setup required.

It’s also small enough to fit into a desk drawer, making it easy to store between uses at home,
in care environments, or in an office setting.

Is it safe to use every day?

The Shuffler is designed for repeated daily
use.
it has no sharp edges, requires no setup, and includes a handle
for portability. Many users build up to three 10-minute sessions a
day
depending on comfort and ability.

Who is the Shuffler for?

The Shuffler is suitable for everyone, but particularly;

  • Older
Adults in care homes or at home
  • People
    Recovering from surgery
  • Wheelchair
users or those with reduced mobility
  • Care
providers looking for inclusive activity equipment

or with support.

Can I buy the Shuffler for my parent/loved one?

from our website. For bulk or B2B care home purchases, please contact our
