Participants used the SHUFFLER® as part of a community programme, with the evaluation tracking movement indicators, usability, participant feedback and safety throughout.

What the programme found
Many older adults and people with mobility challenges find traditional exercise difficult due to pain, balance concerns or lack of access to facilities. This programme explored whether seated movement could offer a more accessible way to support regular activity.

How it was evaluated
The programme combined usability scoring, functional movement indicators, participant feedback, observation and safety monitoring.
Measures included walking speed, balance scores, sit-to-stand performance and the System Usability Scale.
Community evaluation, 26 participants, 8-week programme at Romney Marsh Community Hub funded by Sport England and the National Lottery Movement Fund. This was not a controlled clinical trial. Results are based on participant testing, observation and self-reported outcomes. Individual results vary. The SHUFFLER® is exercise equipment and is not a medical device.
