Excellent

Excellent. Feels great on your feet. Used under work desk myself and for a family member with Alzheimer’s who usually finds it difficult to sit (rather than walk/ pace) for periods of time.

Last week I tried the Shuffler—a portable, seated exercise device co-developed by Jim Kelly, a GP with special interest in musculoskeletal medicine.

What I liked about the Shuffler is its simplicity and accessibility.

What is the SHUFFLER®?

A lightweight, easily transportable piece of exercise equipment that can discreetly fit under a chair or within a standard desk drawer. It promotes active non-impact exercise using a pair completely independent roller frames for ease of use and comfort for all ages, abilities and body size, whilst seated either upright or relaxed.

How do I use the SHUFFLER®?

Pick a robust chair or piece of furniture for seating, and make sure the floor is level for optimal stability. Position the SHUFFLER® directly beneath the chair in your preferred position. Sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor, maintaining a relaxed or upright posture and start shufflin'!

Each SHUFFLER® also includes an adjustable handle for angled use, depending on your preference and comfort level. Our Demos page has some examples of creative ways to set up your SHUFFLER®.

Please refrain from standing on the equipment for your safety.

We believe the SHUFFLER® is a great solution when age, disability, or obesity prevents exercise, as well as when time or cost are factors in signing up for a traditional gym.

The SHUFFLER® is the perfect fitness companion for the elderly, frail, or disabled individuals who may lack the confidence to venture outdoors for exercise. Our primary goal for this population is to enhance their lower limb strength, thereby reducing the risk of falls, enhancing confidence and overall well-being.

The SHUFFLER® could also aid in both post and pre-operative knee and lower limb surgeries by assisting in muscle and joint rehabilitation.

What are some benefits of the SHUFFLER®?
